I don’t often go to DTLA for street photography; the driving distance, traffic and parking fee discourage me. But I have to admit that cities like Los Angeles are the gold mines for street ‘togs. I get excited when
I discover this charming St. Vincent Court, hidden in an alley on S. Hill street, between W. 7th and 6th streets.
Once I step into the St. Vincent Court, I feel like I’m in a foreign country. The atmosphere is different, the people are different and the cuisines are also different from one to the next. Here is one among the shots that I recently collect from the St. Vicent Court.
It seems like the old man is waiting for an answer, or maybe a miracle to happen. At the Saint Vincent Court, Downtown Los Angeles, CA. December 20th, 2012.

Great capture and post. I understand exactly what you mean about cities being gold mines for great photos. I happen to live in small town USA population about 1,200. Hard to do any really great street shooting in a place where they roll up the sidewalks at 5:00 pm. So on a regular basis I make the 2 hour trek into NYC, give me a chance to feed my desire for street and I meet up with some really good friends.
Wow. Traveling two hours for some street photos requires a great passion, John. Thank you for stopping by. =)
